Since 2013 we have been happy to work in the ground floor of an early 20th-century factory building turned Artist-in-Residence complex. Flooded with southwest light and connected at street level to the community that we’ve helped shape over the last ten years, our office, with its long custom fabricated walnut and leather conference table at which we hash out new possibilities and existing challenges, has become a vibrant expression of what we do, and where we see ourselves going. Since our opening, we’ve been collaborative, focusing on Monday morning meetings around that table and slow and observant walks to the nearby Blue Bottle Coffee to clear our heads. Now, we have meetings via Zoom and Google Hangouts with collaborators around the world, showing them a glimpse of our Los Angeles life and seeing through a small window into theirs. Our work has always been lively and responsive; seeing how our office space has continued to be a place to strategize, visualize, articulate, think, meet, transact, and connect even with the physical and geographic challenges we’ve faced has continued to revive and renew us in these transformative times. Soon, we will once again host our friends, partners, and clients over a golden hour cocktail on our outdoor patio. Until then, we will continue to relish and celebrate the multiple collaborations visible throughout the space, with creators like Another Good Job, Coryander Friend, Simon Ford, Henry Kim, Brendan Pattengale, Niki Haas, Artless, and Brendan Ravenhill. We hope to see you all.
