Built in 1918 for the Ben-Hur coffee and spice factory, the five-story property at 800 Traction was designed by prolific LA architect John Parkinson. Next door, the 2-story brick building at 810 Traction Ave was built in 1908. Today, the buildings are undergoing an extensive redevelopment focused on preserving their historic character.
