For this return to the old-school music industry vibe back when executives pushed their chairs away to make room for artists to perform Artist Partner Group partnered with Creative Space on producing a space dedicated to flexibility and collaboration among artists, songwriters, producers, and executives from across a family of Artist Partner Group's associated labels. Created in partnership with Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group, A Studio was conceived as an alternative to the siloed spaces of the music industry, in which executives worked in inaccessible towers and musicians created in independent studios. Here, everything was brought together under one renovated roof.
Creative Space led the execution of the vision and worked as Developer as well as Executive Architect. We installed four recording studios featuring at once top-tier acoustics and ultimate flexibility (none of the studios have fixed furniture or equipment), editing and writing rooms, executive offices with the flexibility to be used as recording spaces, and a shared communal space detailed with rich grey walls, exposed ceilings, and a wall of windows. Currently the headquarters of Artist Partner Group and Artist Publishing Group, A Studio also operates as a home and incubator for talent like Charlie Puth and Earwolf and is overseen by veteran Atlantic/WMG A&R executive Mike Caren. The judicious use of colors like dusky oranges, hazy greens, vibrant yellows, and deeply restorative neutrals combine to create spaces at once restful and energizing, creative and contemplative, solo and social.
